Funny Things Couples Learn When They Move in Together

Then you and your partner decide it’s time to move in together, you know it's getting serious. While it may sound romantic at first, it certainly can be strange. There are a lot of things you learn once you are living together, and people have been sharing that on Reddit (of course).

It all started when someone on Reddit posed the question, “Couples who have moved in together, what surprised you most about living with a male/female?,” and plenty of people were more than happy to chime in.

They include:

"If you and your partner are in different rooms, it becomes customary that one of you randomly decides to 'just check in' on the other person by opening the door, smiling, and then going back to your separate rooms."

"I quickly learned that there is, in fact, a wrong way to fold towels."

"I have never ONCE observed my wife put a bobby pin in her hair...yet I have found thousands of bobby pins in our house."

"When we moved in together I learned that your partner may follow you around the house...just because."

“I'd always heard that women go through toilet paper faster than men, but I never knew how MUCH faster until I moved in with my partner. Now I just grab a pack of TP whenever I go to the store for ANY reason. We may not be out at home, but we will be soon, and I've never been wrong about that."

"My wife has really long, beautiful hair...but I was not prepared to find her hair in my butt and crotch regions as often as I do. I've even swallowed a few before."

"The true shock for me was the sheer amount of time my husband spends in the lavatory."

"I had exactly two pillows in my entire house before my wife moved in. She has four pillows just on her side of the bed. There are pillows on the couch. Every chair has a pillow. We have a closet where the top shelf is more pillows. SO. MANY. PILLOWS."

"I learned that men get incredibly warm and sweaty while they sleep, and they will be sticky if they hug you when you sleep together."

"I truly didn't realize the amount of time we'd spend shouting 'WHAT?' from different rooms in the house."
