The fifth time's the charm.
Nicolas Cage has tied the knot with his girlfriend Riko Shibata, multiple outlets have confirmed.
According to USA Today, who confirmed the news Friday (March 5), the National Treasure actor, 57, and his new wife, 26, got married in Las Vegas on February 16. The date is significant as it falls on the birthday of Cage’s father, his rep Shannon Barr told the news outlet.
Cage also confirmed his marriage in a statement, saying, “It’s true, and we are very happy,” Cage said in a statement of he and his wife, who has since adopted her husband’s last name as Riko Cage.

The Face/Off star, who has been married five times now, first announced his engagement to Riko late last summer. “The couple met in Shiga, Japan over a year ago,” Nicolas' rep told Hollywood Life at the time.
"She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven’t seen her for six months," Nicolas said during a radio interview in August 2020. "We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said, 'Look, I wanna marry you,' and we got engaged on FaceTime."
Speaking of how he popped the question, Nicolas explained that he snail-mailed Riko a custom “black diamond engagement ring” through FedEx.
Cage, who has also been married to actresses Patricia Arquette (1995-2001), singer Lisa Marie Presley (2002-2004), and film star Alice Kim, ended his fourth marriage to makeup artist Erika Koike in March 2019 after just four days.
