"Tidying Up:" Your Jeans Go To Habitat for Humanity

If you're binge-watching the Netflix series “Tidying Up With Marie Kondo,” you’re probably feeling that urge to purge. Clearing out your closet can be very freeing and now thanks to a project from J. Crew, it’s even easier to recycle those old jeans that don’t spark joy anymore.

J. Crew just announced that they’re partnering with Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit that helps build affordable housing for low-income families, for J.Crew’s denim recycling program. It started in 2014 to recycle used denim into housing insulation and keep it out of landfills.

Here’s how it works: Just bring your old jeans into a J. Crew store and they’ll give them to the Blue Jeans Go Green Program.  As an incentive, J. Crew will give you $20 off a new pair of jeans.
