My good friend Jennifer Johnson is a special person. I adore her because she is all about family.
If you don't know Jennifer, you are missing out of something incredible. Let me give you a quick introduction to her, before you see what she is all about below.
Jennifer is the daughter of Karen and Dr. David Johnson, who raised her in New England. She studied at the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.
She went on to a great TV career, reporting in Nebraska and Rochester, NY. She announced her departure from the world of journalism Thursday morning, heading off to something much more important in her world.
She will honor the legacy of her daughter Amazing Grace Esposito, who you will learn about below. Jennifer will become Director of Family and Community Outreach for Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, where she will truly continue to make a difference for thousands.
JJ has already helped many with her work at GCH, and her bright smile and personality helped thousands more to start their day as a co-anchor of 13WHAM News every morning.
Now she can start her day with her own family at home, before heading off to help other families who deserve her kindness and support.
I've had the honor of knowing Jenn and her husband Vinnie Esposito for years. I knew both before they even met. And was lucky to be with them when their relationship started,as Jenn's "Mayorber" driver on the night they fell for each other..
So much so, I was honored to be asked to be Master of Ceremonies for their wonderful wedding reception July 5, 2008 in my hometown of Canandaigua, NY.
I cherish our friendship, and their wonderful family, who all share in my excitement as JJ moves on to continue her devotion and mission to honor her Amazing Grace.
