It's been nearly 20 years since Kelly Osbourne released music, and during the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, she admitted it's a "regret" that she often wonders about.

When asked about her decision to quit music and whether she thinks she'll ever sing again, Kelly said, “I’ve definitely thought about it and what life would have been like if I hadn’t stopped."

“It’s definitely a regret," she added. "Will I do anything about that regret? I don’t know.”

Kelly's music career blew up after she recorded a duet of Black Sabbath's "Changes" with her dad Ozzy Osbourne in 2003. She also released two albums of her own, 2002's Shut Up and 2005's Sleeping In The Nothing, but has not released any new music since 2005. “I was doing so much TV, I was doing so much touring, so much publicity and so many interviews and I wanted to go out and have fun. I didn’t want it to be all work and no play," she explained about her decision to quit her music career. “I also covered up a lot of my insecurity and a lot of the nay-saying and comparisons and just s***-talking with drugs. I was not myself with it. It kind of went hand in hand, and I had to choose myself over all of that. Not to get so dark.”

In another recent episode of the podcast, Kelly said that she hopes frequent drug and alcohol use has "embalmed" her from getting cancer.

Kelly, who welcomed her first child in late 2022, has previously said she first became addicted to drugs at age 13, when she was prescribed Vicodin after tonsillitis surgery.

“Very quickly, it went from Vicodin to Percocet, from Percocet to … to heroin, eventually, because it was cheaper,” she said during a 2021 interview. “I got caught buying it, and then the very next day, my mom put me in rehab.”

She spent years in and out of rehab and in 2017 quit drinking; however, in 2021 confessed that she relapsed after four years of sobriety. The relapse was short-lived and Kelly quickly got "back on track."

"This is something I am going to battle for the rest of my life," she said at the time. "It’s never going to be easy."
